UPDATE 4-17-17
Due to a storm the board was damage beyond repair. I have not given up on this adventure and will be back on the water to restart this 450 mile paddle as soon as I get another board. The gofundme for Patriot PAWS will remain open until I complete this adventure! On April 1, 2018, I will launch “Paddle for Patriot PAWS” – a 400 plus mile Stand Up Paddleboard trip up the coast of Texas to raise awareness and money for Patriot PAWS Service Dogs. Patriot PAWS is a national 501(c)(3) non-profit based in Rockwall, TX, that trains and provides service dogs at no cost to disabled American veterans. I have created a GoFundMe where 100% of all donations will go directly to Patriot PAWS to support their mission.
Starting at Boca Chica Beach at the Texas-Mexico border, I will travel solo – without a support crew – paddling north until I reach the Texas-Louisiana border at Port Arthur. My goal is to travel roughly 30 miles a day, camping on the beach as I go. News of my trip has really started to go viral as it has been reported locally on the news in Austin, Dallas and San Antonio; and nationally thanks to the Bobby Bones Show broadcast on iHeartRadio! I also have another 15 news interviews scheduled during the trip.
I will film the entire trip with my four GoPro 5 Black cameras and my DJI Spark drone. I will be advertising my Corporate Sponsors as well as highlighting the products I am using on this epic adventure. I am in the application process for Guinness World Records in an effort to make this trip an official world record. I should hear back from them soon!
Patriot PAWS is an amazing organization with a passionate following of supporters.
